Looks - feels like spring has arrived and with hopes of a thriving society with lower fuel costs would be icing on the cake so to speak. Most who are from any part of Canada are dependent on some sort of fuel to survive - heat - transportation . When fuel prices go down the costs of everthing else goes down with it. Both heating and vehicle costs can be controlled somewhat if you have the money and knowledge to do it. Ultimately you have to spend to save - kind of a double edged sword. If you buy the new hybrid vehicles the increase in costs is anywhere between 5,000 - 15,000 cnd. dollars ontop of that is very expensive maint. costs involved - cost comparison between lets say run of the mill cavalier and toyota prius - the costs including fuel and maint. are almost double to run the toyota - even although they are not a bad vehilce. The hybrid does save on enviromental issues to some degree and there are lots of pros and cons - fuel mileage is great maint. - sucks big - as time goes on they are getting better - I guess you might say it is a start. To get a true picture of what's happening one must look at all aspects of the manufacturing of these vehicles and the actual pollution - engery involved to buid a hybrid . In doing that comparison and the enviromental impact when the vehicle has expired plus the fact of new dangers with electricity (a whopping 300volts - upwards to 200amps) can have detrimental effects on society. What I don't understand is the Bush administration pushed billons of dollars into the development of hydrogen driven vehicles - years ago and not much has come of it.

Lately I've been exploring the technology of computers - trying to update mine. Absolutely mind blowing how far behind I've actually have gotten with the new stuff out here - not to mention costs.
I have also indulged into web cam tech. and have been exploring several blogs - streaming cam and all kinds of neat stuff that might be old to some but new to me. Interestingly how addictive this stuff is - I am strangely drawn to it not for sexual reasons just for the sake of actually looking at other people without them knowing . When I can't get onto the sites for one reason or another I have that sort of - for want of a better description - lonely or left out , empty kind of feeling . I almost feel some sort of guilt or I'm being really nosey or something like that. I have read some articles about streaming web cam but had no idea it was this large. My computer now is old and I'm having problems with speed and i'm looking forward to a newer faster machine.
